Head of the Porch of Wisdom Cultural Institute said, "In my opinion, the Holy Quran is the source of spiritual and lofty concepts and it is only on the Quran’s basis that everything comes into being including sincerity which paves the way for the development of double work and double endeavor."
Speaking to Int'l Quran News Agency (IQNA) reporter, Ayatollah Mahdi Hadavi Tehrani, head of the Porch of Wisdom Cultural Institute and professor of Sharia law said that those who work sincerely for God's sake, the nature of their work is different from the nature of the work of those people who work without such a motive.
"The work of this group of people is different qualitatively and quantitatively from others' work. The barakah (blessing) transmitted from God to their actions and activities and also the importance which they attach to their work make them distinct from others," IQNA quoted Ayatollah Hadavi Tehrani as saying.
He further said that one of the major problems sometimes facing ‘double work and endeavor’ is lack of sincerity. "If we can work on the sincerity culture which is concomitant with firm belief in monotheism and with consolidation of religious beliefs, the ground for the culture of work and double endeavor shall be paved," he was quoted as saying.
Head of the Jurisprudence and Law Group of the Council for Studying the texts of Ministry of Sciences, Research and Technology went on saying that work and endeavor are on the whole doubled in the real sense and they will not need to be controlled as and when the culture of sincerity is institutionalized in the country. “One who has such a feeling, he will consider the work he is doing as a kind of rendering service and worship of God. Then he will put his best efforts into it,” he added. “When it comes to double endeavor and work, formal discussions and focusing our attention on the results will not serve as a good means for reaching our goals.”
Head of the Porch of Wisdom Cultural Institute further said, “When it comes to ‘double work and endeavor’, we should look at things carefully and deeply so as to see the causes of double endeavor and work and find out what constitutes them.”
Member of the Board of Trustees of the Iranian Institute of Philosophy said that he who is able to create such a mood in himself and in the society, there is no doubt that his endeavor is doubled naturally. “I am of the opinion that the Quran is the source of all lofty and spiritual concepts on whose basis everything shall come into being including sincerity which paves the way for the development of double work and double endeavor.
